Inside Gigi Hadid’s Y2K Inspired 27th Birthday Party

The undisputed law of birthday celebrations is that for a period of 24 hours, the day is unequivocally devoted to you. For Gigi Hadid’s 27th birthday, the rules were no different.

Stepping out to attend her star-studded birthday bash in New York City hotspot and private member’s club, Zero Bond, the supermodel and new mom served “life of the party” realness with her noughties inspired white lace ensemble.

Celebrating in style, Gigi literally wore her birthday suit by donning a contour corset, low-rise, v-waist trouser and frock coat from Australian darling Dion Lee. This look is answering the question: what’s cooler than being cool? Gigi Hadid in this icy-white outfit of course.

Complimenting the ice-queen aesthetic was Gigi’s eclectic pearl necklaces, giving the Victorian-esque lace a nostalgic edge. Gigi also finished the look with a Maddy Perez-inspired eye makeup, with a wing sharp to cut her enemies and pearl accents adorning her lids. Gigi’s outfit is cool enough to freeze hell.

Of course, as any good hype girl does, Gigi’s A-lister friends got the early 2000s scrap and followed suit in Y2K inspired ensembles.

As the poster child of the noughties aesthetic resurgence, Bella Hadid rocked a school-girl inspired low-rise pinstripe mini skirt, and cut out waistcoat and the shoe du jour, a stiletto heel knee-high boot. Her accessory of choice? A classic Dior saddle bag and disposable camera. Here’s hoping those photos will surface on @gisposable soon.

Blake Lively sartorially referenced the socialite queen of Manhattan, Serena van der Woodsen, by wearing a scoop-neck magenta mini dress with matching red pumps. Grab your Tory Burch headbands and Balenciaga city bags, because the Gossip Girl resurgence is officially upon is.

No pressure for other Taurians, but the bar for post-pandemic party dressing has been set high.
